Weather information for the Durango area is provided below. Average temperatures, climate details and current forecasts are included!
Climate
Situated at the base of the San Juan Mountains, with the semi-arid desert of the southwest nearby, Durango in some ways gets the best of both climates. Winters are cold and the town receives over 70 inches of snowfall a year, but most of the time it is sunny and melt-off is rapid. Summers are pleasantly warm, as the temperature almost never reaches the 90s. Spring and fall are crisp and rainfall is rare; both are excellent times to visit.
