This is more a network of trails than a single trail, although Forest Service Roads 247 and 122 are the most well-loved of the off-road routes here. Expect lots of tree-winding and a rocky stretch or two, as well as water crossings. The view from the top of the hill is fantastic.

Rabbit Valley is spread out over approximately 24 square miles of high desert terrain, with pinyon-juniper and sagebrush, unique sandstone formations, and scenic overlooks of the Colorado River.

This lovely road is an easy drive, perfect for new offroaders. Many trails spur off of this one, as well, so keep an eye open. Wide and smooth, Rampart Range nonetheless gets a little rough on the gorgeous south end and washboards are scattered throughout the rest of the road.
