Description
Youngs Gulch Trail winds into the mountains just to the north of Poudre Park, a short drive from Ft. Collins. Youngs Gulch features winding singletrack through pine forest with numerous stream-crossings.
The lower portions of the Youngs Gulch Trail feature singletrack with plenty of roots and rocks. As riders gain elevation the singletrack becomes smooth with slightly banked corners. Riders approaching the top of the ride will encounter a meadow, a perfect place to hang out and enjoy the view and have a snack.
The Youngs Gulch Trail sports excellent downhill action, with fast and fun singletrack riding combined with a bit of technicality. Riders should keep speeds in check and be aware for other riders who may be coming up the trail. This trail is very close to Hewletts Gulch and the two may be ridden in one day for an ultra marathon ride.
