Lamar Colorado - Boating

A cluster of six reservoirs to the north of town offers opportunities for boaters, although there are no developed services.



Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake) Lake Size:  8 square miles   
A mid-sized reservoir near the La Junta area, Adobe Creek Reservoir (also called "Blue Lake") is a heron nesting spot and great place to fish.
John Martin Reservoir Lake Size:  35 square miles   
John Martin Reservoir offers camping, boating and fishing with sun-baked beaches surrounded by sagebrush, yucca and tamarack trees.
