Lamar Colorado Travel Information

Six reservoirs north of town are home to wiper, walleye, crappie, channel catfish, saugeye, large and small mouth bass, and carp, offering some of the best fishing in eastern Colorado. The larger John Martin Reservoir is also nearby, a short drive to the west.

Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake)		Lake Size: 8 square miles

	A mid-sized reservoir near the La Junta area, Adobe Creek Reservoir (also called "Blue Lake") is a heron nesting spot and great place to fish.

John Martin Reservoir		Lake Size: 35 square miles

	John Martin Reservoir offers camping, boating and fishing with sun-baked beaches surrounded by sagebrush, yucca and tamarack trees.
