Waterton Canyon is an easy route following the course of the South Platte River. This trail is popular with Denver residents and can be quite crowded on weekends. Towards the Strontia Springs Reservoir end, the trail begins to become steeper and more difficult. More advanced riders can make a loop with the Roxborough Park Trail, and bikers looking for a multi-day adventure can continue on to the Colorado Trail.
