Dinosaur National Monument has two identities. The Quarry Area, contains a quarry with some 1,600 exposed bones from 11 different dinosaur species. Near the quarry is a short nature hike, a pleasant scenic drive, Indian petroglyphs, and the preserved cabin of a female homesteader.

Nestled at the base of majestic Hahn's Peak in northern Colorado, Steamboat Lake State Park offers great scenery and plenty of recreation.

The museum is housed in a turn-of-the-century Victorian mansion with turn-of-the-century furnishings, but this is more than a restored home. As well as pioneer artifacts, you'll find an exhibit on the history of skiing and a Western room that focuses more on the wild side of cowboy life.
