From Florissant, Colorado, take US Route 24 west for 10.3 miles to the campground sign. Turn right at sign onto the dirt road and go 0.2 miles to campground.

Visitors enjoy Lake George for lake fishing and prime waterfowl watching. Avid anglers come here in winter for ice fishing. The nearby Riverside Campground offers access to the Hardrock Trail. The 1.5-mile trail is open to hikers and mountain bikers, and provides interpretive signs about native flora and fauna.
