Clear Creek Canyon 65 miles round-trip 2 to 3 hours
15 miles north of Buena Vista, County Road 390 heads west into the mountains for a beautiful morning or evening drive. The maintained dirt road follows the creek up through thick pine forest.


Collegiate Peaks Byway 57 miles (91 km) 90 minutes to drive the byway.
No matter where you begin your tour of the Collegiate Peaks Byway, you will be ushered into one of Colorado's most scenically spectacular, historically rich and recreationally diverse areas.


Top of the Rockies 75 miles (120 km) 2.5 hours to drive or a couple of days to visit the Byway

With Colorado's highest peaks on all sides, this aptly named road travels right through the center of the Rocky Mountains. The Top of the Rockies byway crosses the Continental Divide twice as it travels south along the spine of North America.
