Directions to Trailhead |
Go north on Highway 13 about 18 miles to Rio Blanco and turn west about 5 miles on to the Cow Creek Road. Turn south on this road and travel about 15 miles into the area. An alternate access is to go north of Rifle on Highway 13 about 3 miles and turn on the JQS road. Caution, the JQS road is narrow, steep and may be blocked by rockslides. It is very slippery when wet, but the scenic views are outstanding.
