La Junta Colorado Travel Information

There are a number of lakes and reservoirs within a short drive of La Junta, stocked with warm-water fish like crappie, catfish, and wiper.



Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake) Lake Size:  8 square miles   
A mid-sized reservoir near the La Junta area, Adobe Creek Reservoir (also called "Blue Lake") is a heron nesting spot and great place to fish.

John Martin Reservoir Lake Size:  35 square miles   
John Martin Reservoir offers camping, boating and fishing with sun-baked beaches surrounded by sagebrush, yucca and tamarack trees.

Meredith Reservoir Lake Size:  5.8 square miles   
Meredith Reservoir is a large body of water northwest of La Junta, stocked with a wide variety of fish.
