Halfmoon Creek

Good pocket-water fishing for trout in a high mountain cobble-bottomed stream. Lake fishing is also available at Emerald Lake, approximately three miles upstream of the Forest boundary. For more information on this and other streams and lakes on the Leadville district

Camping Info: Several Forest Service Campgrounds along the creek. Limited dispersed camping is available in areas outside of the riparian zone.


 Directions

Forest Service Rd.110. This road is not maintained during the winter. The road is usually clear of snow by the beginning of May.
