Greeley - Boating

Greeley is close to both large and small lakes and the boater can take their pick. Some lakes are small enough to better suit a rowboat, some are massive and can be explored for hours. The Horsetooth Reservoir and Boyd Lake are particularly well known.

Barbour Ponds Lake Size:  80 acres
Barbour Ponds State Park offers a series of small ponds that feel surprisingly isolated given their proximity to the interstate and metro areas.

Boyd Lake Lake Size:  2.7 square miles
Boyd Lake's sandy beach and seasonably warm water make it a favorite among windsurfers, water-skiers and swimmers.

Flatiron Reservoir Lake Size:  47 acres
Flatiron Reservoir is a small reservoir stocked with rainbow trout that allows shore fishing only.

Horsetooth Reservoir Lake Size:  3 square miles
Horsetooth Reservoir is a large, long lake west of Fort Collins. There is plentiful room here for fishing, boating, swimming, and camping, among other activities.
