Blue Lake Trail

This trail leads into the Rawah Wilderness, it is very heavily used and is closed to stock use. The trail follows the Fall Creek drainage to Blue Lake. There is no camping allowed within 1/4 mile of Blue Lake. The Blue Lake area affords panoramic views of the Mummy Range and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Location: 65 miles west of Fort Collins
Difficulty: Intermediate
Length: 12.4 mile roundtrip
Elevation: 1,500 feet
Trailhead Elevation: 9,500 feet
Time to Allow: 7 to 8 hours
Camping Info: No camping allowed within 1/4 mile of Blue Lake.


 Directions to Trailhead

From Fort Collins go 10 miles north on Highway 287, turn west onto Highway 14 and drive approximately 54 miles.

The trailhead will be on the right.
