Boulder Colorado - Fishing

Trout fishing in the streams and rivers that flow from the mountains can be a peaceful and relaxing experience. Boulder Creek, Fourmile Creek, and Gross Reservoir are all accessible within a few miles of Boulder.



Barbour Ponds Lake Size:  80 acres   
Barbour Ponds State Park offers a series of small ponds that feel surprisingly isolated given their proximity to the interstate and metro areas.

Boulder Reservoir Lake Size:  540 acres   
Boulder Reservoir offers boating and fishing only miles from downtown Boulder.

Eldorado Canyon
Eldorado Canyon State Park offers a mile-long stretch of creek fishing for rainbows and browns.

Flatiron Reservoir Lake Size:  47 acres   
Flatiron Reservoir is a small reservoir stocked with rainbow trout that allows shore fishing only.

Lagerman Reservoir Lake Size:  116 acres   
Lagerman Reservoir is a small fish-stocked reservoir just a few miles west of Longmont.

Lake Estes Lake Size:  185 acres   
Lake Estes is frequently stocked with rainbow trout, and also features a nearby golf-course, picnic areas, and boating/sailing opportunities.

St. Vrain Lake Size:  Small   
Just 30 miles north of Denver, St. Vrain State Park consists of four ponds well known for their fishing.
