The Copper Penny Inn is an 1860*s Farmhouse that has been converted to an Inn. The Inn offers elegant accommodations in a comfortable..relaxed environment. Located on Route 376 by Vassar College in the town of Poughkeepsie. The Inn is convenient to IBM..Vassar College..Marist College..The Culinary Institute of America..Historic Hyde Park..Estates of the Hudson..Dia Beacon.. Millbrook..Rhinebeck..Dutchess County..Hunt Conty..Antiques and Auctions and the Scenic Shawangunk Mountains. The living room is a perfect spot to relax. In the winter..fires are kept burining in the both the living room and dining room. A gourmet breakfast is included and served in the dining room or the outdoor Terrace in season. A fully appointed pantry is available for guests* convenience. Additional facilities included a large stone terrace and screened porch and 12 wooded acres with trails to streams and a pond. All of the guest rooms contain a private bath..television w/VCR..telephone and wireless high speed internet access.

Basic Directions
From Stewar-Newburg Intl Airport: Leave the airport to go to the end. Go left onto Rte. 207 a short distance just past I-87 to Rte. 300/Union Ave. Go left on Rte. 300/Union Ave. Until you see signs for I-84. Take I-84 East over The Hudson River to U.S. Rte 9 North. Take Rte. 9 to Spackenhill Road (The First exit after IBM Road). Take Spackenhill Road 2-4 miles to the Mobil and Sunoco Gas Stations. There..go left onto Rte. 376 North (you may see signs for Vassar College) for 1.6 miles to number 2406 on the right..in the Middle of The Big Curve..just past The United Methodist Church. Our sign..-The Copper Penny Inn-..is written on the mailbox and there is a street light above it. The Copper Penny Inn is painted off-white with white trim and black shutters. Please use the front door. You have gone to far if you reach Sunrise Lane.
