Description

Are you longing for that western experience that can only be met on the back of a horse?

Riding seven days a week through the spectacular, rugged, unspoiled Cascade mountains of Central Oregon, rides go out according to the convenience of our guests. Oregon Cowboy has half day and all-day rides each week. Your friendly wrangler will take you to a variety of beautiful and historic destinations.

No matter what your riding level or experience, you’ll enjoy touring the lush meadows and wooded trails on a ride that’s right for you. All rides are guided and led by one of our professional wranglers.

Some of our featured trail rides include:

  • Hole in the Wall Gang 2 Hour Ride - An exciting and challenging ride, trotting along a trail lined with manzanita, and a variety of wild flowers. This ride crosses Indian Ford Creek and travels around the meadows. Trotting experience is required, and riders will be tested on their skill level.
  • Latigo Loop - A faster paced ride for saddle seasoned riders. This ride includes all the features of the Manzanita and the River View Round Up. You may have a chance to see wildlife, including Mule Deer, Coyotes, Chipmunks, Owls, Quail and various outdoor critters. It is a very spectacular and scenic trail ride.
  • Black Butte Posse - An all day adventure in the Deschutes National Forest adjacent to Black Butte Ranch. This ride is customized to the expectations and capabilities of the participants. Many destinations are available in the wilderness and non-wilderness. This is the "hard charger" ride for the fit outdoor enthusiast.
