Description

Mountain Thunder Lodge is Breckenridge's newest property. The Lodge is nestled in a wooded glen below the ski mountain and only a short walk from all the diversions of Main Street Breckenridge. Just steps from the front door of the Lodge is the free shuttle stop. And when you are not out enjoying Breckenridge, you'll find many on-site amenities to keep you busy.

Mountain Thunder Lodge boasts three outdoor hot tubs, a heated outdoor swimming pool with heated walkways, health club facilities, a courtesy room with game area, a grocery and sundry shop, an activities desk and concierge to help you plan your vacation, and complimentary parking in a secured and heated underground garage. Guests of the Lodge will also have access to ski storage, safety deposit boxes, business services and 3,000 square feet of meeting space.

The accommodations at Mountain Thunder Lodge are distinctively styled and offer exceptional amenities such as fully outfitted kitchens including microwave and dishwasher, television and video player in the living and sleeping rooms, gas fireplaces and private balconies. One bedroom condominiums include a king bed and private bathroom, while the two bedroom condominiums include a king bed in the master suite, master bath with dual sinks and separate tub and shower, second bedroom with queen bed and a second full bathroom. Every condo is also equipped with all of today's modern conveniences including a telephone, alarm clock radio, cable television, coffeemaker, hairdryer and iron/ironing board.

Basic Directions

To Breckenridge from Denver International Airport:

Peña Boulevard (the airport's main exit) merges into Interstate 70 west. Take Interstate 70 west 85 miles to Frisco (Exit 203). Drive ¾ of the way around the roundabout and take Highway 9 through Frisco, then south nine miles to Breckenridge, where Highway 9, Main Street and North Park Avenue merge in another roundabout. Take the right exit before entering the roundabout onto Colorado Highway 9 South (which is also Park Avenue although there is no signage with that name.)

To Breckenridge from Eagle Vail Regional Airport:

Take Interstate 70 64 miles east to Frisco (Exit 203). Turn right or south on Highway 9, and take Highway 9 south nine miles to historic Breckenridge. When you reach Breckenridge, Highway 9, Main Street and North Park Avenue merge in a roundabout. Take the right exit before entering the roundabout onto Colorado Highway 9 South (which is also Park Avenue although there is no signage with that name.)

To Mountain Thunder Lodge from North Park Avenue:

Follow North Park Avenue for three blocks to Mountain Thunder Drive. Mountain Thunder Lodge will be on your right in a forested area just before the Ski Hill Road traffic light.

To Mountain Thunder Lodge from Colorado Springs:

Take Highway 24 west. At Hartsel, take Highway 9 north approximately 40 miles over Hoosier Pass, to Breckenridge. As you come into Breckenridge, go to the second stoplight and turn left onto South Park Avenue. Follow South Park Avenue through the traffic light at Ski Hill Road. Mountain Thunder Lodge will be on the first street on your left, Mountain Thunder Drive.
