Description

Walker Ranch City Park trails are sure to become a favorite of riders looking for both an aerobic workout and thrilling descents. Once one of the largest cattle ranges in Colorado, Walker Ranch is now a public park and is cataloged on the National Register of Historic Places.

There are two sides to the Walker Ranch with two distinct personalities. The north side of the ranch features thick trees and sheltered singletrack. The south side is an open expanse of meadow with fast rolling singletrack trails. The climbs on both sides of the Walker Ranch complex are difficult with several mandatory hike-a-bike sections. Once riders crest the climbs, however, they are rewarded with a steep and fast descent on singletrack goodness.

Walker Ranch City Park trails are generally ridden in the following manner: all trails on the north side of the park are ridden in a clockwise direction; all trails on the south side of the park are ridden in a counter-clockwise direction. The Walker Ranch City Park trails are very popular and these rules were put in place to ensure everyone’s good time so please follow them.
