Description

For a lot of people The Cathedral Spires is the best climbing in the South Platte. The rock here forms several outstanding spires and faces which in turn create classic multi-pitch trad climbs. Cynical Pinnacle is the favorite here and boasts what is agreed upon as the best 5.9 in the entire state. Basically, the climbing on all the crags here is epic traditional crack climbing. The area is so good that it is very popular despite a gnarly one-hour approach hike.
