Description

The Lost Canyon Loop Trail climbs from the town of Gunnison along a spur of the Colorado Trail. It traverses an undulating ridge to Signal Peak. From here, bikers can cut west for a shorter loop. The main route continues up a steep rocky section to a long mesa which provides relatively flat riding and good views for several miles. You will enter aspen groves near the upper end and pass through several gates. When you intersect a dirt road, turn left for a short jog to connect with the well maintained Lost Canyon Road and head back to Gunnison.
