Description

Devils Lane intersects the Elephant Hill Loop at mile 4.1. Heading south from this point takes you through narrow grasslands and some rough slickrock passages. At mile 3 is a short spur road to the east to the Joint Trail. Continuing beyond this junction takes you into a much narrower graben with pinnacles rising hundreds of feet overhead. (You can keep going to the park boundary and beyond.) Heading north on Devils Lane takes you up out of the graben to a bench with outstanding views and a very difficult slickrock descent. Eventually the route heads west and ends at the hiking trail to the Confluence Overlook.
