This is absolutely the best map available for hiking the Wasatch Mountains near Salt Lake City. It lays out the whole range three-dimensionally and shows more than 60 trails. You’ll easily be able to see how to reach the trailhead and where the trail runs. A convenient color coding system denotes trails as easy, moderate or difficult.
For every hike in the area it provides the length, trailhead elevation, elevation gain and difficulty. It provides information on side trails, loops and other variations possible from a single trail. It specifies whether a trail has good fall colors, when is the best time for wild flowers, whether there is a stream or lake, etc.
In addition, the back of the map contains important information on camping, weather, sanitation, health risks, etc. It also contains information and drawings of animals you may encounter on your hikes.
