Pine River Trail to Emerald Lake to Moon Lake Intermediate
Aspens, ponderosa pines, and conifers are in abundance along the trail as you follow the Pine (or Piños) River east.

Pine River Trail to Granite Lake Intermediate
Difficult
17 miles oneway 8.5 to 10 hours
From the Wilderness boundary to the Continental Divide, the river offers some of the finest fly-fishing found anywhere.

Pine River Trail to Weminuche Pass Intermediate
The Pine River ascends, sometimes gradually, sometimes moderately, and occasionally steeply, to Weminuche Pass.

Rico Silverton Trail Difficult
16 mile roundtrip 8 to 9.5 hours
Rico Silverton Trail ascends two high mountain passes, thus affording excellent views and good opportunities for photography.

Spud Lake Trail Easy
2 mile roundtrip 1 to 1.5 hours
Spud Lake Trail is short and easy. Passing through aspen glades, it offers excellent views of Engineer Mountain, Grayrock Peak, and Spud Mountain, along with good views of the Needle Mountains to the east.

Vallecito Creek Trail to Hunchback Pass Difficult
19.5 miles oneway 10 to 12 hours
Numerous creek crossings with waterfalls, cascades, and pools.

Vallecito Creek Trail to Johnson Creek Trail to Columbine Lake Intermediate
The hike begins in a steep canyon with ponderosa pine forest, aspens, and conifers.

Vallecito Creek Trail to Rock Lake Intermediate
15.5 miles oneway 8 to 9 hours
Look for waterfalls, cascades, and pools as you reach the Rock Lake Trail turnoff .
