Waterton Canyon is an easy route following the course of the South Platte River. This trail is popular with Denver residents and can be quite crowded on weekends. Towards the Strontia Springs Reservoir end, the trail begins to become steeper and more difficult. More advanced riders can make a loop with the Roxborough Park Trail, and bikers looking for a multi-day adventure can continue on to the Colorado Trail.

Basic Directions
From Denver, get on the southern leg of I-470 and take the Wadsworth Boulevard exit heading south. Follow the signs for Waterton Canyon to CO Hwy 121. Head south for a few more miles to reach Waterton Canyon State Park.
