Though motorized vehicles are prohibited in the designated wilderness areas near Vail, there is still plenty of territory outside of them to explore in an off-road vehicle. Jeep trails wind through valleys and along ridges, even up to the top of peaks. Several tour and guide groups in Vail can take you on an off-road adventure, or tell you about the best spots to go.
