Vail Ski Resort

Vail Ski Resort Vail. There’s No Comparison®.

The most groomed terrain on the planet, four terrain parks, waist-deep powder, seven bowls, a whole area of adventure terrain and 34 lifts—all over three distinct sections of the mountain that total an enormous 5,289 acres. In fact, on an average day, there are only two skiers per acre, and on a busy day, less than four per acre! That’s a lot of fresh tracks. And even more precious elbow room. Combine that with an average of 1,500 acres of groomed runs, incredibly dry, fluffy powder and 300 days of sunshine and you’ve got the makings of the best ski day you’ve ever had.

The Front Side is the most commonly skied area, with well over a hundred trails and the most high-speed quads on any one mountain in the country. The Back Bowls area stretches across six miles of black diamond powder skiing. Finally, the recently opened Blue Sky Basin features 600 more acres of backcountry slopes, more than two miles from the nearest building.
