Tomichi Route Trail

This route is very difficult due to loose rock along the entire length and full exposure to the sun. Use extra caution while descending due to the abundance of large, loose rocks.

Use the parking area near the South Rim Campground. Take the Rim Rock Trail (which starts near Loop C) to post #14, then backtrack 25 feet. This is the start of the Tomichi Route. Descend this steep route until the junction with another draw (an alternate route) is reached. Continue to follow the main drainage down the tumbled slope to the river.
