Steamboat Springs - Whitewater Rafting

Eagle River
The Eagle River, one of the upper tributaries of the Colorado, is easily accessible and has great trout and bass fishing.

North Platte River Up to Class II
The North Platte River starts in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness within the Routt National Forest close to the towns of Steamboat Springs and Walden. The river offers a plethora of fishing, rafting and sightseeing opportunities with deep pools, ripples and calm water.

Yampa River Up to Class IV
Day-Day
The Yampa River travels through northwestern Colorado, before joining the Green River just a few miles east of the Utah border. It is the only major tributary of the Colorado that is still flowing freely unhindered by dams. Due to its relative isolation in an under-traveled part of the state, river rafters can find a peace and solitude lacking on more crowded raft trips in popular areas.
