Steamboat Springs Colorado - Fishing

Fish can be found in several rivers and lakes in the Yampa Valley area.



Avery Lake
Avery Lake is a mid-sized body of water where visitors can fish for trout in pleasant and uncrowded surroundings.

Green Mountain Reservoir Lake Size:  3.3 square miles   
Green Mountain Reservoir is a nice fishing reservoir located on the Blue River.

Pearl Lake Lake Size:  167 acres   
Pearl Lake, nestled in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, offers peace, quiet, and fly-fishing in a lush forest setting.

Stagecoach Lake Size:  1.2 square miles   
Stagecoach State Park, located in the verdant Yampa Valley south of Steamboat Springs, is a 780-acre reservoir with a full-service marina and great trout fishing.

State Forest Lake Size:  130 acres   
The Colorado State Forest offers visitors 71,000 acres of preserved forest, jagged peaks and alpine lakes.

Steamboat Lake Lake Size:  1.6 square miles   
Nestled at the base of Hahn's Peak in northern Colorado, Steamboat Lake State Park offers breathtaking scenery.

Yampa River Legacy State Park/Elkhead Reservoir Lake Size:  400 acres   
Yampa River Legacy State Park includes eight river access sites and boating at Elkhead Reservoir.
