South Rim Road Mountain Biking Trail
|
Though bikes are not allowed on hiking trails in Black Canyon National Park, the paved South Rim Drive road leads to several stunning viewpoints, and its technical and physical ease make it a great ride for bikers looking only for scenery and not for a challenge. The Black Canyon is one of the most striking natural landmarks in western Colorado, with its sheer drops and craggy bluffs foreshadowing the majesty of Grand Canyon, farther west. The park is usually only sparsely crowded, so riders don't need to constantly compete with the traffic.
