Silverton Mountain
Silverton Mountain offers guided-only skiing on the highest peaks of the San Juan mountains. A single chair lift takes lucky skiers up to 12,300 feet above sea level for an almost 2,000 foot descent back to the base. A maximum of 40 people a day are allowed on this largely undeveloped mountain, and reservations are required.
