Rocky Mountain National Park - Boating



Colorado River
The Colorado River starts from humble beginnings in north central Colorado to become one of the largest rivers in the state as it crosses into Utah. Wading, raft fishing, and shore fishing are all done at various points along its length.

Flatiron Reservoir Lake Size:  47 acres   
Flatiron Reservoir is a small reservoir stocked with rainbow trout that allows shore fishing only.

Grand Lake/Shadow Mountain Lake Lake Size:  11.3 square miles   
Grand Lake is a major destination for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Surrounded by spectacular mountain views, the three lakes here are popular vacation spots.

Lake Estes Lake Size:  185 acres   
Lake Estes is frequently stocked with rainbow trout, and also features a nearby golf-course, picnic areas, and boating/sailing opportunities.

State Forest Lake Size:  130 acres   
The Colorado State Forest offers visitors 71,000 acres of preserved forest, jagged peaks and alpine lakes.
