Red Rocks/Dakota Ridge Mountain Biking Trail
|
Starting out at Denver's famous Red Rocks Amphitheater, this route meanders among the massive sandstone buttes that give the area its name, then climbs up onto the Dakota Ridge for panoramic views of the whole Denver area. Several loop options exist for a shorter or easier trip, since the Dakota Ridge leg is steep and sandy. Riders seeking solitude should note that, due to its proximity to Denver, this trail gets a lot of traffic.
