Colorado Springs Population: 526,000
  Colorado Springs is the second-largest city in Colorado, with half a million people living in the metro area. Under the snow-capped majesty of Pike's Peak at the edge of the Rockies, Colorado Springs provides a less-crowded alternative to Denver and easy access to a number of nearby natural wonders.
     
La Junta Population: 7,600
  La Junta is situated along the Arkansas River in the rolling grasslands of southeastern Colorado. Nearby historical pioneer and Native American sites, a large stretch of preserved dinosaur tracks, and several warm-water lakes and reservoirs are all nearby.
     
Monte Vista Population: 4,529
  Monte Vista is a small town with a long history and spectacular views. Although situated in the mountains, Monte Vista is not only close to ski resorts, but to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Highland or flatland, sand or peak, you can experience them all from Monte Vista’s hub.
