Pine Cove Campground

Pine Cove Campground is located between Frisco and Breckenridge in the Peninsula Recreation Area (Frisco Nordic Center). It sits along Dillon Reservoir at an elevation of 9,040 feet. The campground is First-come, First serve; no reservations are accepted.

Pine Cove has 55 asphalt camping sites with limited tent sites. The campground has vault toilets, water, garbage service, a boat launch area and a day use parking area.

 Directions

Directions from Silverthorne: Go 4 miles west on I-70 to the Frisco Exit 203. Travel south on Hwy. 9 to the Peninsula Recreation Area. Turn left and follow this road to the Pine Cove Campground.

Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel 34 miles east on I-70 to the first Frisco exit (#201). Turn right and drive through Frisco to Hwy 9. Turn right on Hwy. 9 and go about 1.5 miles to the entrance of the Peninsula Recreation Area. Turn left and follow the road to the campground.

Directions from Vail: Travel 25 miles east on I-70 to the first Frisco exit (#201). Turn right and drive through Frisco to Hwy 9. Turn right on Hwy. 9 and go about 1.5 miles to the entrance of the Peninsula Recreation Area. Turn left and follow the road to the campground.
