Most days, the Ouray skies are sunny, even in the middle of the winter. Those winters are mild ones, surprising at these altitudes, and summers are in contrast never too hot. Although snowstorms occur in the winter and brief rainfall flashes over the mountains in the summer, in general, Ouray is low humidity and fairly dry.
