Ophir Pass
|
Ophir Pass is a fun road that climbs a number of switchbacks and shelf roads to an alpine pass almost 12,000 feet above sea level. The road is relatively easy except for a few difficult sections, and offers some great vistas of the central San Juan Mountains. When the pass is first opened in summer, drivers may pass snowdrifts up to 20 feet high.
