Mesa Verde National Park Colorado - Biking

Biking is not permitted on park trails or on the road to Wetherill Mesa. The main park road through the Far View area and Chapin Mesa is open to bikers.



Half-Century Biking Route Beginner 51 mile loop 5 to 7 hours
The Half-Century Trail is a road-biking loop that passes through the striking desert scenery of the Four Corners area, with great views of the La Plata mountains.

Railroad Loop Mountain Biking Trail Beginner 13.3 miles 2 to 3 hours
The Railroad Loop Trail is an easy route suitable for riders of any experience level. The loop follows a narrow-gauge railroad grade through the scenic foothills of the southern La Plata mountains.

Sand Canyon Mountain Biking Trail Beginner
Intermediate
7.2 miles round-trip 1 hour
This route passes a number of Anasazi structures and desert landscape on its way to the large Sand Canyon Pueblo complex.
