Loveland Ski Area

Slideshow image

Loveland Ski Area is one of the few large ski areas along the I-70 corridor that has not become a "resort." This translates to cheaper lift tickets, less crowding, free parking, and a focus on skiing and boarding.

This is a locals mountain with plenty of material for experts, including the recently-opened "The Ridge," serviced by a 4-man chairlift that reaches 12,700'.

There are two areas within the Loveland Ski Area. Loveland Basin Ski Area (85% of the ski area's acreage) contains the main lodge and The Love Park terrain park.

The Loveland Valley Ski Area is the beginner segment of the ski area, home to gentle slopes serviced by two lifts. The Ski and Ride School and the Loveland Race Club are here.

A free shuttle joins the Basin and the Valley ski areas.
