Description

The Howelsen Trail Complex is located on Howelsen Hill, one of the first ski areas in Colorado and featuring a world-class ski jumping area in the winter. Trails intersect all over the Howelsen Trail, making for a multitude of combinations and allowing riders to crank as long as they like.

The Howelsen Trail Complex trails feature a mix of intermediate and advanced level riding, including one rock downhill. The trails wind through forest on a combination of fire roads and singletrack on their way up Emerald Mountain. A trail map of the area does come in handy due to its complexity.

Some places are famous. Others are vast. Page, Arizona is your doorway to both — and the Center of the Grand Circle of National Parks. Begin with the icons that earned the world’s attention: Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, and Antelope Canyon. Then stay longer. From here, guided journeys into Navajo Nation reveal landscapes shaped by culture and story. Rainbow Bridge rises from the canyon floor. Vermilion Cliffs glow at sunset. Buckskin Gulch winds for miles. Grand Staircase-Escalante unfolds to the north, while Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon lie within reach. Page itself is intentionally small. What surrounds it is anything but. Choose guided adventure or quiet exploration. Seek luxury or solitude. Return each evening to comfortable lodging, thoughtful dining, local shops, breweries, and golf with unforgettable views. This is not just a stop along the way. It is the place to begin — at the Center of the Grand Circle of National Parks.
