Half-Century Biking Route

The Half-Century Trail is a road-biking loop between the towns of Cortez, Mancos, and Dolores. The route passes through the striking desert scenery of the Four Corners area, with great views of the La Plata mountains.

Length: 51 mile loop
Elevation: 850 feet
Time to Allow: 5 to 7 hours
Season: Year round


 Directions to Trailhead

The route can be started from anywhere along its length. Cortez is in southwestern Colorado at the junction of US 666 and US 160.

Route Details

Head east from Cortez along US 160. From Mancos, turn northwest along CO Hwy 184. Near the town of Dolores, take CO Hwy 145 to CO Hwy 145, heading south back to Cortez.
