Gunny Loop Area Mountain Biking Trails

The Gunny Loop is one of several trails just east of Colorado National Monument. Challenges range from intermediate to expert level on various trails through slickrock and sagebrush. Routes are mainly singletrack with occasional stretches of double track. Locals love this area for the technical challenges, the roller coaster climbs and descents, and the beautiful desert scenery. Riders wishing to follow a specific trail should consult a detailed biking map of the area; those just wishing to explore will find a multitude of routes to satisfy them. The western end of the Tabeguache Trail to Montrose also begins in this area.
