Georgetown Colorado - Biking

Old mining roads and newly created bike trails run throughout the hills and canyons surrounding Georgetown. Several local roads are accessible to bikes before opening to vehicles for the season.



Arapaho Ridge Mountain Biking Trail Advanced
Intermediate
12.2 mile round-trip 2 to 3 hours
This steep, grueling climb up to the Continental Divide ends in spectacular views of the central Rockies, for those who can make it there.

Argentine Pass 20 miles 4 - 6 hours

Argentine Pass Mountain Biking Trail Advanced 22.6 mile round-trip 5 to 8 hours
A rocky and technically challenging route up to Argentine Pass, at 13,123 feet above sea level. The views from the top are spectacular.

Creekside, Flume & Chainsaw Mountain Biking Trails Advanced

9 mile loop 1 to 2 hours
This popular sequence of trails passes through pine forests and mountain creeks in the Winter Park Area.

Notch Trail 3 - 6 miles 1 - 2 hours

Peru Creek Mountain Biking Trail Intermediate 11 miles 1.5 to 2 hours
This is a scenic trail following Peru Creek up to several old mining ruins, before rising to a ridge at 11,000+ feet.

Roof of the Rockies / Long Mountain Biking Trails Beginner 9.2 mile oneway 1 to 2 hours
These two singletrack routes from the top of Winter Park Resort run through high mountain forest on their way down the mountain.

Tipperary Creek Loop Mountain Biking Trail Intermediate 20.4 mile loop 2.5 to 3 hours
This well-maintained loop travels through some spectacular singletrack as it winds through mountain meadows and pine forest.
