Flat Tops Trail

This scenic route travels up and over the White River Plateau, with its endpoints in the small towns of Meeker and Yampa. Much of these beautiful forested mountains are protected by roadless wilderness areas, but the Flat Tops Trail skirts the edge, getting you as close as you can in a motorized vehicle to this pristine area. Travelers can take a side trip to Trapper's Lake in the heart of the area, or explore the hundreds of miles of trails that branch off from the road.
