There are nearly 360 miles of trails in Rocky Mountain National Park west of town, and additional routes exploring the lower Front Range nearby. Add in backcountry exploration and the possibilities for hikes in the Estes Park region are nearly endless.



Baker Gulch Trail Intermediate
11 mile roundtrip 6 to 7 hours
Trail crosses over the Grand Ditch. Spectacular views of the Kawuneeche Valley.

Baker Pass Trail Easy
4 mile roundtrip 2 hours
Alpine wetlands.

Bowen Gulch Trail Intermediate
16.2 mile roundtrip 8 to 10 hours
Trail follows an old jeep road and is along a small stream.

Bulwark Ridge Difficult
The views from Signal Mountain are stunning.

City of Loveland Recreational Trail Intermediate
10 mile roundtrip 5 hours
Paved concrete trail, approximately 8 feet wide, all slopes conform to ADA accessibility standards.

Gilsonite Trail Intermediate
5.6 mile roundtrip 2.5 to 3 hours

Lily Mountain Trail Intermediate
4 mile roundtrip 2 to 2.5 hours
The view from Lily Mountain makes the climb worthwhile.

Lions Gulch Trail Homestead Meadows Intermediate

The trails goes into Homestead Meadows where there are eight historical homesteads.

Lost Lake Trail 20 miles oneway 10 to 12 hours

Parika Lake Trail Difficult
4.8 mile roundtrip 2.5 to 3 hours
Beautiful lake above treeline.

Round Mountain Trail Intermediate
Difficult
9 mile roundtrip 4.5 to 5.5 hours
Much of this trail is south facing and is generally clear of snow year-round.
