Cortez Colorado - Hiking

The San Juan Mountains to the northeast of Cortez offer a number of challenges for hikers, including some of the highest peaks in the nation. Hikers can also explore the hundreds of Ancestral Pueblo ruins in the desert canyons to the west, at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
