Copper Mountain Resort Copper Mountain Resort, just off I-70 in the central Rockies, is a large ski and snowboard area for skiers of all experience levels. The runs are conveniently grouped by difficulty level, so beginning, intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders can keep out of each others' way.

Copper Mountain also is home to a highly-rated ski school, a "back bowls" area for advanced skiers, and snowcat rides to even more pristine areas of the mountain.

From Denver:

Take Interstate 70 west to exit 195 (approximately 75 miles).

From Eagle Airport:

Take Interstate 70 east to exit 195. Copper Mountain Resort will be on the left side of I-70.
