This trail follows the route of the annual Banana Belt Mountain Bike Loop Race, one of the area's first annual bike races. After a long climb up from Salida to join the Rainbow Trail, the route meanders through smooth singletrack and rocky/sandy patches before starting a rapid descent back to town.
