Barr Lake State Park

Nature enthusiasts can enjoy a unique combination of activities at Barr Lake State Park, including boating, wildlife watching, fishing, and hunting. Bird watchers can spot over 300 species of birds at the park, which is home to the Colorado Bird Observatory and an important Colorado wildlife refuge. Visitors can watch the birds from the comfort of a lakeside gazebo, from boat on the northeast end of the lake, or on the Eagle Express, Barr Lake's motorized shuttle trail ride.

Barr Lake is ideal for non-motorized lake activites and small motorboats. This allows the park to be a peaceful, relaxing haven for visitors who enjoy sailing and canoeing.
